A great find just off the A1. The restaurant didnt seem to be available when we arrived by chance about 8.30pm but we had some very nice freshly prepared sandwiches in the bar. A very pretty historic and beautifully presented place, wood panelling, oak staircase, very smart big loos. Parking in road nearby.

A magical place. One of the most memorable places I have ever been. Alex helped us arrange a baby shower. This little gem is the perfect canvas for an event. Visited here with friends for the French themed evening. An enjoyable and Very good value evening of mussels chips and apple tart and glass of wine for £28! The George is well decorated very fresh and modern helpful and antentive staff definitely look forward to returning again!

This is a review of the restaurant. It was excellent. Superb ambience (sit in the conservatory, not the rather dismal bar area). Splendid Sunday meal (although I will ask for the beef to be "well done" next time -- my medium was a little on the pale side. Sensible staff who knew what they were doing.
